Now You Has Jazz! - A glittering showcase of the best in jazz

Amanda Tiffin returns to her jazzy roots, winding her velvet voice around classic jazz standards, and working scat magic into some timeless tunes. No stranger to jazz audiences, Amanda reworks songs from popular jazz repertoire, to give them an exciting, inventive sound.

The show is  presented by a “little” big band, incorporating a 2-piece brass section, and dynamic rhythm section.

Jazz is enjoying resurgence in popularity at the moment, with artists like Michael Buble, Diana Krall, Jamie Cullum and others injecting their own fresh energy into the old classics. This show pays tribute to the old masters, and has some fun with the new ambassadors of an ageless sound. 

The show moves from the elegance of the Jazz Age of the 1920’s, through the infectious energy of the Swing Era, the raw spirit of the Latin and Cuban brass sounds, to the infectious swing of South Africa’s own Sophiatown sounds.

It also explores music by some of the greatest composers in jazz – Duke Ellington, Gershwin, Cole Porter, Horace Silver and more.
